Angostura Rum and Bitters Museum

Angostura opened its museum in 1999, to document and share the engaging history of the Siegert family.  Included as part of the Angostura factory tour, thousands of visitors each year come to the museum to learn more about the almost 200 years of history of this iconic company, which holds a Royal Warrant from the Queen of England.  A walk through the museum reveals much of the Siegert family’s stories, from our founder’s journey out of Germany after the Napoleonic War, to the town of Angostura in Venezuela, from there the family would move to Trinidad in the 1870s. An informative and entertaining experience for both locals and foreigners alike, the Angostura museum is a ‘one-of-a-kind’ attraction.

Visitors can tour the Angostura Rum Distillery, as well as the Bitters’ Manufacturing Room before viewing the stunning 8,000 specimen of around 700 species of local butterflies on display.

Advanced booking is required for the two-hour tour. Call (868) 623-1841 or visit for more details
